Every single post I write I SEO using a free plugin called 'All in one SEO'
I'm sure there are better ones out there but this does the job for me.
For example my last blog post was entitled:
'To earn serious money online you actually have to Do something that will bring it in'
I published it two days ago.
It's now on the front page of Google for the keyphrase
'earn serious money online'
The post before that one was called
'Is this why you're struggling to make money online?'
It's about a month old.
Which according to my research is about number 7 on page ONE of Google for the search term
'struggling to make money online'
You can see the sort of keywords I target - all about internet marketing and what I do.
And my posts go up and down in Google like a tart's knickers BUT when you remember I have over 100 blog
posts all ranking at various different places in Google at any one time...
...then you can see the traffic it brings to my blog.
This SEO takes me about one and a half minutes to do AS I write my post. It takes me longer to insert an image.
I don't research the phrase I'm targeting either,
I just make sure that the blog title has SOME reference, however vague to internet marketing, online business or making dosh on the net.
SEO / keyword experts will no doubt pick huge black holes in this extremely slapdash approach.
I don't give a badgers bollock.
I know it's not a system that I'm utilizing to it's optimum potential - nowhere near - but you already know I think that SEO becomes painful if it takes longer than 3 minutes.
Like sex with a bad back.
But there's more...
Here's the SECOND part of my strategy - and this is how the money comes in.
A couple of days after I've posted to my blog, I use a nifty bit of kit to search exactly where each post is in the search rankings, and for which search term.
The posts that are ranking highly I then go BACK and edit, putting a link to one of my products or an affiliate link at the bottom of the post!
That's it.
BOOM! Each post is monetized.
We're not talking about hundreds of sales a day but if I tell you that my blog makes several thousand a month in PASSIVE income you can see that it's well worth it.
Key points:
1. I SEO each blog post as I go - takes about a minute and a half
2. I give each post a couple of days to get indexed then go check whereabouts it ranks in Google and for which keyphrase
3. I edit each post and monetize it with a paid link at the bottom.
Simple yes.
But that's exactly what I am.
I use simple, uncomplicated EASY methods that get sneered at by techy-fixated dweebs who constantly
say 'Oh but you're not doing it RIGHT'
Balls to them.
I'm pocketing several thou a month from a blog I LOVE writing.
I'd write it if I didn't make a cent from it.
The income is just icing on the cake.
Listen guys - don't let anyone tell you that there's a right way and a wrong way to do things because there just ISN'T when it comes to online business.
Try stuff out.
Mess with stuff and see if it works or it breaks.
And if you haven't already, start a blog :)
